Adalia bipunctata 100 Larvae cotton bag
Effective against: aphids
Adalia bipunctata is a native ladybird species used to combat a wide range of aphid species in all life stages. These Adalia beetles are supplied in cotton bags specifically intended for application in trees. The larvae are known for their voracious appetite.
Both adult beetles and larvae feed on aphids entirely. Eggs are laid near aphid colonies. Once hatched, the larvae actively search for aphids. The adults are approximately 5 mm in size and have an orange-red color with black spots on the wing covers and white markings on the pronotum. The eggs are elongated, yellow/orange in color, and laid in clusters on the underside of leaves.
Application:
-
Open the bag and attach it to the lower branch of the tree using a nail or staple
-
In cases of heavy infestation or in densely branched trees, hang multiple bags
-
For moderate infestations, use one bag per 25 cm of trunk diameter, with a maximum of 3 bags per tree
