Aphidend is particularly recommended when aphids are present in colonies.

Mode of action:
Gall midges are attracted to the scent of honeydew secreted by aphid colonies. They lay their eggs near the colonies, providing the larvae with an immediate food source. The larvae paralyze the aphids and suck them dry.

Application of Aphidend:

• Open the Aphidend bottle inside the greenhouse.

• Place the bottle on the ground or hang it from a string within the crop to keep it out of reach of ants.

• Do not scatter the contents.

• The emerging gall midges will leave the bottle and disperse throughout the crop.

• Use the removable label to mark where the product has been applied.

• For best results, use Aphidend in high humidity conditions.

• Gall midges are active at night. Therefore, it is important that nighttime temperatures are at least 12°C to ensure egg-laying.
