Weed- and moss growth is becoming increasingly difficult to control in ornamental plant cultivation. Environmental legislation is restricting, or even outright banning, the use of chemical products. 

The AW-DISK® is a cover composed of durable natural fibres such as coir fibre, sisal and natural latex. In addition, all ingredients are fully biodegradable. The AW-DISK® is the perfect answer to weeds and liverwort.

In addition to the excellent preventive weed controlling effect, the AW-DISK® reduces evaporation from the pot, preventing dehydration of the rootball. In addition, the disc ensures that the potting soil will not compact in heavy rain or excessive irrigation, allowing the rootball to rehydrate easily. The disc is extremely easy to apply, stays on the pot, and does not drift away in the wind. The AW-DISK® easily lets water and nutrients pass through, and is suitable for cultivation under glass and in open field. This disc can be used for two years by growers. In practice, however, we have noticed that garden centres are also starting to recognise the benefits of the AW-DISK®, which results in more plants with the AW-DISK® being purchased.
