COMPO Hydro Granules give an exceptional decorative touch to your flowerpots, flower boxes, plant bowls and flowerbeds. The clay granules prevent the potting soil from drying out quickly, so you need to water less. They also prevent the formation of moss, algae and weeds and keep the potting soil from splashing during watering or rain.

COMPO Hydro Granules are uniform grains with an attractive, natural colour. Because the granules have been exposed to high temperatures, they are:

The grains at the bottom of the pot or flower box absorb excess water and release the same water evenly when the plant needs it. In this way the roots of your plants are protected against both rotting and dehydration.

How to use these hydro granules:

• Decoration: lay a layer of 3 to 5 cm Hydro Granules on top of the potting soil in your flowerpot or flower box. However, do not fill the grains up to the edge of the pot to facilitate pouring.
• Drainage: lay a layer of 1 to 2 cm of Hydro Granules on the bottom of the flower pot or planter. Make sure that the pot has drainage holes at the bottom. To drain the excess water after repotting, you can also place hydro granules in the saucer around the pot.
• Ventilation: when you mix COMPO Hydroponics with the potting soil, they ventilate the roots and make the potting soil lighter.
• Hydroponics: carefully remove the potting soil from the plants and roots. Rinse the Hydro Granules carefully with pure water. Place a layer of 3 to 4 cm granules in the hydroponic pot. Place the plant in the pot and refill with Hydro Granules. Add lukewarm water to the indicated level.
