Lindix contains the predatory beetle Rhyzobius lophanthae. This is a small, dark brown beetle that grows to about two millimeters in size. The release of Lindix is suitable for use in greenhouses, but it can also be released outdoors during the summer.

The predatory beetle feeds on various types of scale insects. When a scale insect has been fed on, an irregularly shaped hole may be seen on the edge of the scale. The living part of the scale insect is consumed, while the scale itself remains on the plant. These remains will eventually fall off on their own. The larvae feed on the younger stages of the scale insects, while the adults consume all stages.
