Nephus conjunctus 250 adults against woolly aphids
The Nephus conjunctus is a small ladybird beetle that preys on woolly aphids. This species is only a few millimeters long (1.5 – 3 mm) and is smaller than the Cryptolaemus, which belongs to the same group. Due to its small size, it can search for its prey in tighter spaces. The adults have short hairs, are dark brown, and have brown spots on their bodies. The larvae have a white waxy coating.
It is important to release Nephus conjunctus close to the infestation sites. They should be released on the plants and not on the ground.
