NovaTec® contains the nitrification inhibitor DMPP (dimethylpyrazole phosphate), which slows the conversion of ammoniacal nitrogen to nitrate nitrogen for 6 to 10 weeks.

The plant also benefits from this technology:

• The plant loses less energy: it can absorb ammonia and in this way does not need to use it to convert to nitrate. This saved energy can be used in other processes.
• Ammonia acidifies the soil around the root hairs, improving the absorbability of phosphate and trace elements for the plant.
