What is Pidolic Acid?

Pidolic acid is a signaling molecule at the core of the nitrogen metabolism process.

During nitrogen metabolism, ammonia is used to form glutamine, which then serves as a building block for many amino acids. These amino acids are used by the plant to produce proteins and nucleic acids. When this cycle is balanced, growth and metabolic functions can proceed without disruption. Pidolic acid plays a central signaling role in this nitrogen cycle.

Under normal conditions, the pidolic acid in Nutrino Pro maximizes the production of glutamic acid and glutamine by accelerating nitrogen metabolism.

Under stress conditions, pidolic signaling is reduced, and the plant, under pressure from temperature, water, or nutrient-related stress, begins to accumulate toxic ammonia. In response, it breaks down its own reserves to maintain respiration, often resulting in symptoms such as yellowing leaves. Higher concentrations of pidolic acid help plants continue to grow during short periods of environmental stress.

What is R100?

The R100 biostimulant contains a patented combination of two disubstituted urea compounds (DPU) and gamma-polyglutamic acid (γ-PGA). DPU increases cytokinin levels in plant tissues, resulting in enhanced cell division and growth. γ-PGA binds with cations to improve nutrient uptake.
