STROVAN STRAW PELLETS GARDEN Not only are straw pellets the ideal ground cover, they also give weeds or moss no chance to deface your garden. These straw pellets are made of all natural materials, namely 100% wheat straw, creating an all natural ground cover.

Effect:
The pellets swell up when they come into contact with moisture (mist), rain, and irrigation. The moisture makes them quickly fall apart and form an uninterrupted layer on the soil. 1 cm STROVAN creates a 3-4 cm thick cover. A crust forms in the sun. The product turns brown, like peat and tree bark. 

• The crust prevents the evaporation of moisture in the soil, which results in water conservation
• Weed seeds in the soil get no chance to germinate
• pH neutral: pH-value of 6,2 - 6,4
• Largely sterile thanks to heating up to about 80°C à 90°C during production
• Repels snails
• Creates an insulating layer, so that perennials and flower bulbs are protected against frost
• No need to excavate anything: the grains are simply placed onto the soil
• The layer is used up and disappears into the soil after 12 to 18 months, depending on the weather conditions
• Can also be used as a ground cover in animal shelters (horse stables, chicken pens, etc.)
